Depth labels are not a treatment map
A cartridge’s nominal focal depth is part of its specification. It should not be converted into a universal instruction such as “use this depth around the eyes.” Clinical use depends on the device instructions, the patient and an appropriately trained practitioner’s assessment.
Likewise, a cartridge listed for a body platform should not be assumed compatible with a facial system. Confirm the exact combination in writing, even if the connectors or product photographs look similar.
Information to send with a replacement enquiry
Machine model and identification label.
Existing cartridge model or part number.
Photographs of the label and connection, where available.
The specification and quantity you need.
Any fault message or compatibility question.
Do not include patient-identifying information in a routine parts enquiry. A clear equipment record is usually more useful for matching the accessory.
Understand the stated cartridge life
If a supplier quotes a shot count, ask how the count is defined and displayed, and what conditions apply. Confirm whether the quoted number is a capacity specification or a warranty promise. Those are not automatically the same thing.
For a clinic, record cartridge installation and replacement so purchasing can be planned. For a distributor, ask whether revised cartridges remain compatible with machines already supplied and how changes will be communicated.
Can cartridges from different HIFU brands be exchanged?
Do not assume interchangeability. Obtain model-specific confirmation from the responsible supplier before ordering or using an accessory.
Should a new operator select cartridges from an online chart?
